A shallow swimming area is kept warm in the summer months by the sun and is great for children. The saltwater shoreline is very large with space for every kind of water activity. The 1920’s and 30’s are alive and well in the rustic architecture which harkens back to the birth of this wonderful park. Waterfront Day Use - You’ll feel like you traveled through time when you see the Depression era buildings built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the waterfront park area. The walk in sites were very easy to access and many were next to Twanoh Creek. Tent spaces were located throughout the park and several walk in sites were located in a generously wooded area. Full hook up sites are located closest to the road and along the the creek. The Campground - We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful layout of this campground. Twanoh State Park has three sections, the campground, the waterfront day use area and a hiking trail which follows Twanoh Creek. With 25 standard sites and 22 full hook up sites this small park packs a big punch. ![]()
